Its the few months before the prom were all the drama begins and the dress stores explode. If you want to have a successful prom day you have to start early. A big thing is making sure you have your dress because that can either make or brake you on your big day. You want to keep it elegant, don't be that one person that shows up in something casual. So instead of just throwing out my opinion, i found a great website that will help you be completely successful on your prom day

http://www.prompartydress.com/prom-dress_advice.html

Remember going solo and just with your friends is not so bad. Now this may appear to be something cool to do because a famous man did it but in high school if you spill the beans you look desperate. Ways to be successful in a relationship is to earn trust with your partner even in high school. If you go around spilling all the dirt you may be heading for a slap in the face. Keep things under wrap even if your boys are hounding you to know. It will make girls trust you more and make things easier when you want to be with the respected girl next door.

Check out his interview: read and learn what not to do!

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/02/10/john-mayer-jessica-simpso_n_456566.html

PDA (guys perspectice)

Dom, you are very correct with your opinion on PDA (public display of affection).
Guys, i know you might always want to be all over your girl but in school its just not th right time. Yeah you can give them a peck or a hug when your going away from class, or hold hands in the hall, but anything more then that is over the line. PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU MAKING OUT IN THE HALL. You might think you look cute but really its gross and people don't want to see that. And also Dom your 100% right with wearing the clothes. Girls, please once a week max wearing your boyfriends hoodie, you just look like a dirtbag if you wear it everyday, or even twice a week. Guys don't try to show off by feeling up your girl in the hall or doing whatever, if you really like her it shouldn't even matter what other people thing.

Not cute....

PDA (girls perspective)

PDA, what a good high school topic. If your in a relationship you love it, if your single you hate it. So what is a happy medium that can help you out when dating in high school. For this i can only give you my opinion, Its okay to show affection..the occasional hand hold and quick peck before heading off to class or home. That in most point of views is the classic cute couple but when two people are caught at the tongue is can totally give you the wrong image. People don't like to see you hanging around corners making out and touching all over! keep it G at school unless you want the rep of being the scum couple. It can give you a bad name around school. Another thing that may not be too hot is you wearing your boyfriends clothes...everyday. Once and awhile the occasional sweatshirt is cute! But a daily outfit from your boy can really make you look too clingy.

This man can be considered the PDA pimp according to Urban dictonary....NOT HOT

OPPORTUNITY

Okay so living the teen live can be one big lazy party...if you wanna be a loser. One mayjor thing you need to consider is getting a job, it can really make your life 100% easier. One it can give you a lot of respect from your parents. Taking the indicative to get out and get a job can give you some major brownie points. Two it can help out A LOT when your in a relationship. You don't wanna be mooching cash from your parents when you need to take a girl out on a date and it will impress her knowing you can go out and spend some cash around the holidays :)

Here a some rules that i found that might help you get off you feet and willing to get out and work!

http://www.kensavage.com/archives/real-world-advice-high-school-students/

Rule #5. Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger flipping. They called it opportunity. They weren’t embarrassed making minimum wage either. They would have been embarrassed to sit around talking about Kurt Cobain all weekend.
Rule #6. It’s not your parents’ fault. If you screw up, you are responsible. This is the flip side of “It’s my life,” and “You’re not the boss of me,” and other eloquent proclamations of your generation. When you turn 18, it’s on your dime. Don’t whine about it or you’ll sound like a baby boomer.

"whats hot"

The whole point of the 'whats hot' post is to give readers some background on hot topics for conversation so maybe if they're hanging with friends and the topic comes up they wont be lost. They are also good topics to talk about when first meeting people.

Today's topic is the Olympics. Its very popular in conversation right now. Although you may enjoy watching ice dancing, curling, or speedskating they most likely wont be talked about. Some girls try to act dumb when they flirt cause the think its cute or it attracts guys....well it doesn't. Guys really cant wrap their heads around the idea of dating someone for a long time when she can't even spell the word orange. Take it from me, Kevin,if you want to be successful in the dating scene you want us to take you seriously. Guys are not always the brightest crayons in the box so we like our girl to keep us learning. Chances are guys will just take advantage of you if your not too smart and your heads always in the clouds. We like you to show us that you can used big words and read a good book and explain it to us in the end. So my advice for the day on how to be a good teen is to not dumb yourself down for a relationship, be yourself..and lets hope being yourself means your not naturally dumb! cause i cant help you there!

Flirt of the week!

This week Nicole also known as "Snooki" has earned the title of flirt of the week! So being a teenager you want to have one of these. It makes it much easier to start connections. Theres just one thing to worrie about. The world of the internet can be great..but it can also be very dangerous. Part of being a smart teen means your paying attention to the dangers of an internet site. Don't give out personal information that you may not want someone else to get a hold of, and dont get caught talking smack about someone from a wall post! More importantly don't let yourself be bullied on one of these sites. Part of being sucessful means being strong and knowing how to prevent online harrasment or creepy encounters with people. Pay attention to these ways to prevent any future harm from the computer.

http://www.fema.gov/kids/on_safety.htm

yes i know they may seem far from anything a teenager might listen too but it can help you stay on the internet safely. It will keep you from getting close to the wrong crowd within the computer

How to get a girl

If your in high school pick-up lines aren't going to get you very far. There are some basic steps to follow.

So say you want to get this girl really badly and you don't even know her. This is tough. Usually you might have to wait for a weird turn of events like ending up at a friends house while she's there or being assigned seats next to her in Spanish class. If you have no way of getting to know her maybe ask a friend to introduce her.

Okay now that you know this girl its very important that you get her number. Don't ask a friend for her number then randomly just text her...that's creepy. If you ever talking to her in the halls or maybe at a friends house just simply ask her for it. whats the worst thing that can happen? she says no and then you know shes not interested and move on.

Okay so you have her number! Its a chance game now. Start texting her and be friendly. At this point you need to just be yourself and you will be able to tell if she starts to like you or not. Maybe you don't have texting, then you might have to AIM her or "chat" with her on facebook.

The rest should be easy, make sure you stay out of the "friend zone" and start hanging out with her and eventually ask her out when you think your both ready.

Bro-code

Yes, the bro code is a true thing.
